DEM Party İmralı Delegation Meets Abdullah Öcalan for Second Time: “This Process Will Enable Us to Live Together Freely
Members of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party), Pervin Buldan and Sırrı Süreyya Önder, held a second meeting with PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan at İmralı F-Type High-Security Prison on January 22, 2025. Following the four-hour meeting, the DEM Party İmralı Delegation issued a written statement detailing the discussions.

“As the DEM Party İmralı Delegation, we held a meeting with Mr. Abdullah Öcalan on January 22, 2025, on İmralı Island.
During the meeting, Mr. Öcalan first extended his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic fire in Bolu and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
Our delegation provided him with the necessary updates regarding the discussions and initiatives we have been conducting.
Mr. Öcalan continues to work on the process, and once his preparations are complete, the necessary announcements will be made to the public.
As a delegation, we will continue our efforts and engagements and will keep the public informed as developments occur.
